Hey,
Ever gone for a walk or a run, felt good about it…
…then saw someone else’s post about their 10km time and suddenly felt like yours didn’t count?
Yeah. Me too!
It’s wild how fast comparison can sneak in and steal our joy. One minute we’re proud of ourselves for
getting out the door. The next, we’re questioning if it was “enough.”
But here’s what I’ve learned — and what I want to remind you of this week:
You are not behind. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re just on your own path!
We’ve been taught to measure everything. Speed. Distance. Calories. Strava kudos.
But what about effort? Courage? Progress that only you can feel?
No one sees the days you
choose a walk over the sofa.
Or the times you lace up even though you're tired, or sore, or doubting yourself.
And no one else can feel the shift that happens when you stop comparing and start trusting your own journey.
So if you’ve found yourself trapped in comparison lately, here’s your permission slip to step out of it.
Not everything has to be better, faster, or further.
Sometimes, it just has to be
yours.
You belong here — exactly as you are.
Your pace is perfect.
And your progress is worth celebrating.
See you out there,
