Hi,
Can I share something with you?
I haven’t been running consistently for a while. It’s not that I don’t want to... sometimes the body’s not playing along, sometimes life just gets in the way, and other times… the mojo just quietly vanishes without warning.
Maybe you’ve
felt that too. That weird in-between space where you still care about running, but you’re not quite doing it! You think about it, maybe even plan to go, but the spark’s a bit dim. And then the doubts creep in...
“Am I still a runner? Do I even belong anymore?”
Here’s what I’ve learned.
Even when I’m not running, I’ve never stopped being part of the running world. I still maintain my membership of my local
Masters Athletics club, and I’m race director once a year for one of our events.
Even though I’m not on the start line myself, just being there, watching the buzz, seeing runners head off at their own pace, feeling the warmth as they cross the line hot, sweaty, and satisfied... it does something good for the soul!
It reminds me why I love this.
It reminds me that I’m not on the outside.
And it keeps that little ember burning for when I
am ready again.
Because here’s the truth: You don’t stop being a runner just because you’ve taken a break.
You don’t stop belonging just because you’re not “in training.”
You don’t need to earn your place by hitting a certain pace or running a certain number of miles each week.
If this resonates — if you’ve ever felt a bit on the edge of it all, like you’re watching from the sidelines... I want you to know this:
You’re
still a runner.
You still belong.
And there’s a whole community of us who get it.
That’s what we’re building at Runners Gateway. A space where you can (re)connect, be seen, and gently find your way forward again, whether you’re walking, running, or simply remembering what it feels like to move.
So if you’ve been in a bit of a lull lately, or just need to feel that quiet nudge of connection again, we’re here.
Come join
us. No pressure. No expectations. Just support, encouragement, and the reminder that your run still matters — even when it’s paused.

You don’t have to do this alone.
And you don’t have to wait until everything’s perfect to come back.
You’re already
in.
See you there?
